Welcome and Thank You! As a “Team Parent” you are a very important part of how well Citrus Heights Little League runs.
It is your responsibility to keep your team informed and organized. As the Spring Season approaches we will add necessary information to help guide you. Check the calendar for Team Parent meetings. As a team parent communication and organization is very important.
SCOREKEEPER: It is best to find 2 scorekeepers for your team. The HOME team is responsible to keep the “Official Field Scorebook” and their own Team Scorebook. A scorekeepers class will be available. A great web site for scorekeepers is www.baseballscorecard.com.
You are responsible to purchase team trophies. Collect money from your parents for trophies and end of the season party.
You should collect money for your banner. You can either make one yourself or order one from any sign shop. The banner should be ready by Opening Day and contain the name of the league, team, players, coaches, manager, sponsor, and Team Parent if you like.
You will be responsible for distributing boxes to those players that did not choose the “Buy-out” option. Please keep a log of how many boxes you have in total and be prepared to turn in Candy money when requested. Prizes will be given for most boxes sold.
Once the game schedule is out, the Team Parent is responsible to arrange coverage for the snack bar on all home games as soon as possible. The snack bar worker must arrive 30 minutes prior to game time and will need to stay up to 30 minutes after games are over to clean up. You may split the shifts in half or have your parent work the entire shift.
Uniforms are typically handed out during the week prior to Opening Day. Each player will receive a hat, shirt and socks. Players are responsible for pants and cleats.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 am. Please have your players and coaches in uniform and your banner ready by 9:45am. Each team will be responsible for working a booth or attraction. You are responsible for scheduling and ensuring coverage for the day. If you are assigned to help with set up, please plan to arrive at 9:00 a.m. If your team is scheduled for clean up, we will begin approximately 2:00pm. Please be sure all your parents are participating and know the schedule.
Please prepare a roster including players, coaches, manager, team parent, and scorekeeper if you have one. Turn in roster to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
Closing Day will usually be the first Saturday in June Madera Park. This is a casual day to celebrate the season and vote on your next Board of Directors. Each team is responsible for donating a Raffle Basket.
